Rodney S. Nichols, D.M.D., P.C.

Dr. Nichols has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in the Portland (Oregon) metropolitan area for over 20 years. He has special experience and interest in dental implant surgery and bone graft surgery in addition to practicing a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Nichols attended Oregon State University (Corvallis, Oregon) graduating in 1974 with a degree in microbiology and biochemistry. He then graduated from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry (Portland, Oregon) with honors. Dr. Nichols subsequently completed advanced residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 1981.

Dr. Nichols is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certified). He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well being awarded the Fellowship in General Anesthesia by the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Other memberships included the Academy of Osseointegration (implant surgery).

Dr. Nichols is on staff at several Portland area hospitals and has served as Chairman of the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Legacy Portland Hospitals. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Oral Pathology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University.
